Wasabi Found To Boost Memory Of The Elderly

Food: A new Japanese study has found that wasabi may possess memory-boosting powers in a clinical study with 72 elderly volunteers.

• The wasabi test group saw their episodic memory scores jump an average of 18% and they scored on average of 14% higher than the placebo group overall.

• The active ingredient in wasabi is suspected to be an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound called 6-MSITC.
